Structural Intelligence & Ply Scheduling

FEA & Layup Design

Stop guessing your laminate architecture or risking structural failure. We engineering-proof your composite parts to ensure performance right where it matters.

Who it's for

For parts that have to work the first time.

  • You have a part design and want to know if it will perform.
  • You need a ply schedule that hits stiffness and strength targets without adding weight.
  • You're moving a part from metal or a prototype to composite and need the layup defined.

What you get

  • Structural analysis report
  • Ply schedule and orientation
  • Layup recommendations
  • Weight / stiffness trade-offs

What we need from you

Three inputs to get started.

CAD
Your part geometry, ideally as STEP.
Load cases
How the part is loaded, supported and used, and what it must survive.
Material targets
Fiber and resin preferences, target weight or stiffness.

How it works

From model to ply schedule.

  1. Brief & inputs. We review your CAD, load cases and targets, and confirm anything that's missing.

  2. Model & analyse. We build the finite element model and run your load cases.

  3. Optimize the layup. We iterate ply count and orientation against your strength, stiffness and weight targets.

  4. Report. You receive the analysis report, ply schedule and recommendations, and we answer your questions.

[Add the software and methods you use, once confirmed.]

Clear scope, clear quote.

Quoted per project

Depends on geometry and the number of load cases. [Or add a "from €…" figure]

[X–Y] working days

Typical turnaround once we have complete inputs.

FAQ

Questions about FEA & Layup Design

What if I don't know my load cases?

Tell us how the part is used, how it's mounted and what it has to survive. We'll help turn that into load cases and confirm them with you before the analysis starts.

Which materials can you analyse?

Fiber-reinforced laminates such as carbon and glass, made by prepreg, infusion or wet layup. Tell us the material you plan to use, or ask us to recommend one.

What file format do you need?

STEP is preferred. If you only have another format, ask and we'll tell you whether we can use it.

Can you continue into mold design?

Yes. The validated layup feeds straight into Mold Design, so the mold is designed around the laminate you'll actually make.

Are my files kept confidential?

Yes. Your files are used only for your project, and we're happy to sign an NDA before you send anything.
